This is a true experience I had on my last trip back to Malaysia. I was driving along Jalan Duta at the round about turning right to Jalan Kuching. Traffic was slow as usual and I taking my time to take extra carefull to make my way turn right. With my right indicator right on I slowly make my way as soon I enter the round about and make my right turn.
As usual most Malaysian driver DO NOT understand the word and the meaning of give way to right. It mean ' You always look right and if there is a vehicle on your right you MUST give way'. I still have to craw slowly to my exit and held up hundred of cars behind me.
As soon I make my way to my exit and speed up a bit to my suprise out of no way at my left eye glance I feed something is coming. Yep! out of no where a bike come out from left stright to the right infront of my car with out even look at me. I hit he break to avoid the colision and horn him. Young Malay fellow as he look at me and show his middle fingger with an angry face. I mean to warn him how dangeous the way he ride his motobike but yet I get a middle fingger. Not just that with one hand one the handle and the other show his finger to me for a few second until he out of my site. He really made my day.
From that time I just wonder if he remember he had a mother waiting for him at home or wife and children at home waiting for dinner that night. If I wouldn't hit the brake I might hit him and he could be in serius injury! But yet as a Malay and probably MUSLIM he didn't care or 'bersyukur' that he safe another day. As a Malaysian, Malay and Muslim he didn't respect the law either his local law or his religion law!
One of this day if I hit another young motorbike driver I will not feel sorry about it. If he die in the colision I still don't even feel sorry about it. I think the way they ride the bike the deserve it!
Maybe next time I will not going to be bother hitting my brake! Just hit them so I don't have to see another finger pointing at me and ruin my whole day!
